Why Business Savings UK
More than a comparison. A business energy partner.
Comparison websites show you prices and leave you to it. We stay involved: reviewing contracts, tracking renewal dates, chasing suppliers and answering the phone when something goes wrong.
Save
We compare the contract options available to your business and explain where the real difference sits — rate, term, standing charge and timing.
Simplify
One conversation instead of a dozen supplier calls. We handle the comparison, the paperwork and the transfer.
Support
A named account manager after the switch, not a call-centre queue. Billing queries and meter problems are ours to chase.
Trust
How we are paid is disclosed before you commit. No pressure tactics, no invented savings figures.
Who we work with
Built for the businesses that actually pay the bills.
Restaurants, warehouses, shops, offices, salons, manufacturing units and multi-site operators. Different premises, same problem: contracts that renew quietly and cost more than they should.

Market awareness
Energy decisions deserve more than guesswork.
Commercial energy prices move with wholesale markets, network charges and the length of contract you agree. The same business can be quoted very differently depending on when it goes to market. Our job is to make timing and structure a deliberate decision rather than an accident of when your renewal letter arrived.
- We record your renewal window and start the review inside it.
- We explain what is fixed, what is passed through and what can change.
- We put the options in writing so a decision can be justified internally.

Transparency
Straight answers. No unnecessary jargon.
This sector has a reputation problem, and hidden commission is a large part of it. So here is how we operate, in the open.
What an energy broker does
We are an intermediary. We collect your usage and contract information, approach suppliers for options, explain the terms and arrange the paperwork. We do not generate, deliver or bill for energy — your supplier does that.
How we work
A short conversation, a written comparison, then a decision that is yours. Nothing is signed on your behalf without your instruction.
What you receive before signing
The supplier, contract length, unit rates, standing charges, what is fixed and what can change, the start date and the amount of any commission included in your rates.
How we are paid
Either a commission included in the unit rate by the supplier, or a fee agreed with you directly. Whichever applies, we tell you which and how much before you commit.
Asking questions
Call or email at any point, before or after a contract starts. If we cannot answer immediately we will tell you when we can.
If something goes wrong
We have a written complaints procedure with response times, and we explain where an eligible unresolved dispute can be taken next.
Fair advice
Built around fair, transparent energy advice.
Business Savings (UK) is an energy intermediary and consultancy — a broker, not a supplier. Ofgem regulates energy suppliers and is developing the regulatory framework for third-party intermediaries in the business energy market.
We do not describe ourselves as Ofgem approved, accredited, authorised or regulated, because that would misrepresent the position. What we can do is point you to the official guidance so you can check the market for yourself.
If you would like documentation about how a specific contract is arranged, including any commission, ask us and we will put it in writing.
Our role, stated plainly
We are
An independent commercial energy broker and consultancy working on behalf of UK businesses.
We are not
An energy supplier, a price comparison website, or a regulator.
Your contract is with
The supplier you choose. Their terms, billing and supply obligations apply.
Business contracts differ
They do not carry the same statutory cooling-off rights as household contracts. We always confirm the supplier's cancellation terms before you sign.
Client outcomes
Real businesses, real results — published only when verified.
We do not publish invented testimonials, review scores or savings percentages. Case studies appear here once a client has confirmed the detail and agreed to it being shared.
Sector & challenge
What the business does and what was wrong with the existing arrangement.
What we did
The utility involved, the options reviewed and the contract structure agreed.
Measured result
A verified outcome, in the client's own words, with their permission to publish.

FAQ
Business energy questions, answered properly.
The questions we are asked most often, answered without sales spin.
What does a business energy broker do?
A business energy broker acts as an intermediary between your business and energy suppliers. That usually means collecting your usage and contract details, approaching suppliers for contract options, explaining the terms in plain English, handling the paperwork for the switch and supporting the account afterwards. A broker is not a supplier and does not generate or deliver the energy itself.
How does business energy switching work?
You provide a recent bill or your business and site details. Contract options are gathered from suppliers, compared and explained. If you choose to proceed, the paperwork is completed and the new supplier arranges the transfer with your existing one. There is no interruption to your supply — the physical connection does not change.
Do business energy contracts have a cooling-off period?
Business energy contracts do not carry the same statutory cancellation rights as household contracts. Some suppliers offer a short cancellation window as a matter of policy, but you should never assume one exists. We will tell you what the supplier's terms say before you sign.
How are energy brokers paid?
Usually in one of two ways: a commission included in the unit rates by the supplier and paid to the broker, or a fee agreed directly with the business. We confirm which applies to your contract, and how much it is, before you commit.
When should I renew my business energy contract?
Start reviewing several months before your contract end date. Suppliers commonly quote for future start dates within a defined renewal window, so acting early gives you time to compare properly instead of accepting a rollover offer under time pressure.
What information do I need for a business energy quote?
A recent energy bill covers almost everything: your meter number, consumption, current rates and contract end date. If you cannot find one, your business name, postcode and approximate monthly spend is enough to get started.
Can you help with multiple business locations?
Yes. Multi-site businesses are a core part of what we do. We map every meter and end date across the estate, group contracts where it makes sense and give you a single point of contact for all sites.
Can I switch if my contract has not ended?
You generally cannot leave a fixed business contract early without cost, but you can usually agree a new contract that begins when the current one ends. That is why the renewal window matters more than the end date itself.
What happens if my business energy contract expires?
If nothing is agreed, your supplier will normally move you onto out-of-contract or deemed rates. These are typically higher than an agreed contract, so it is worth reviewing before the end date.
Can BSUK help with renewable energy options?
Yes. Where suppliers offer renewable-backed commercial contracts we will include them in your comparison and explain what the certification covers, so you can weigh the cost against your own reporting or sustainability aims.
What is a deemed business energy contract?
A deemed contract applies when a business consumes energy without an agreed contract in place — commonly after moving into new premises. The supplier sets the rates, and they are usually higher than negotiated terms. You can normally agree a contract to replace deemed rates at any time.
How do I make a complaint about my energy service?
Contact us by phone or email with your business name and site details and we will acknowledge your complaint and set out how it will be handled. Our full process, including how eligible unresolved disputes may be escalated to an independent dispute-resolution service, is on our complaints procedure page.
